Emerging Technologies

I’m exploring the technology called SlideRocket, at sliderocket.com. Slide Rocket is a program where the users can either upload a power point they made or create one using the software. The power points can be accessed anywhere. So if the operator needs to present the power point, he made at home, to a group of coworkers at a conference. Also the power point ca be viewed shared by a group of people so it perfect for companies and clubs to share information. The power point can be shared with others or secured until it presented. SlideRocket can also be used to hold web meetings all over the United States. The program can also pull information and data from internet sources like Google Spreadsheets and it can even update itself while the writer is away.
I’m not registered for this program but I did watch several of the demos and I learned it was very user friendly. There are step by step instructions fro every part of the program to make sure the users understand what they are doing. SlideRocket wants the users to get all their worth out of the program.

This is a power point I presented to my History class earlier in the semester. I uploaded it to SlideRocket and used it as an exaple.

A Little About Me

Hello.
My name is Lauren Ashley Roseboom. I live about four miles outside of Lebanon and I love it there. There are no car horns, sirens, or bright lights for miles and when there's a meteor shower the best seats in house are on my front porch.
I love to read especially at night when everyone is asleep and can't disturb me. When almost everyone, I have three spoiled cats Breanna, Aqua Marie, and Gabriel Louise, and they run our house despite our efforts to change that. I like to do any form of art that I can get my hands on, which includes painting, drawling, and even coloring at work. Now I'm no Picasso but I still enjoy it because it helps me relax after a stressful day.
I have worked with children since I was 13 and I currently work at a before and after school program in Lebanon called B.A.S.E. I love my job but, like everyone else in the world there are days when I want to lock myself in my car and scream my head off.
My majors are Early Elementary, Special Needs, and Secondary Math. My after college goals are to teach secondary math for 10-15 years or until I can get a preschool teaching position. By the time I'm 40, I plan on having started my plans on my preschool/farm.
I have never written a blog before so this was a new one for me. I followed the instructions and it was much simpler than I thought it would be. I think the hardest part was just writing it. :)
